Jean Chae, JOYland Director
Pastor Heechin and Jean direct the Young Adult Department and JOYland Children’s Department, respectively. Since meeting Christ as an undergrad at the University of Virginia, Pastor Heechin’s passion has been to love and serve God. As medical director of the Brain Injury Program at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and a faculty member at Harvard Medical School, he knows the challenge of following Christ while engaged in graduate school and career.
After faithfully serving in the Young Adult Department for fourteen years with her husband, Jean answered God’s new call to love the children in the JOYland Department. Jean studied social welfare while attending the University of California at Berkeley and also earned a master’s degree in social work from Virginia Commonwealth University. Heechin and Jean reside in Cambridge with their daughter.
